Logistics are an issue are some spots are very isolated but a few spots are accessible to budget travelers such as Fort Dauphin, Lavanono, Tuléar, et Diego.

Winds are steady but there is little more around! Sail by yourself might not be a very good idea as you have few chances to cross many boats in those waters.

there are good gear now, in Ft Dauphin and Diego. Elsewhere beginners will find everything they need but experienced riders could be disappointed.
