kms , 2h30-3h). Windy road to penetrate the eastern forest. On our
way we visit the fascinating buterfly farm which has a large collection
of reptiles and lemurs (chameleons, lizards, snakes, crocs, ...) Night on the edge of National park of Andasibe, home of the largest of the lemurs. Night in bungalows. J2 / Périnet - Canal des Pangalanes. Early visit of the park then road to Pangalanes channel for a peaceful night. J3 / Pangalanes. Boat excursion to explore a local reserve.
Between sea and lagunes, the Canal des Pangalanes . J4 / Pangalanes - Tamatave. 2-3 hours boat transfer to Tamatave. Afternoon to hang around the busy streets of this big commercial harbor. J5 / Tamatave - Ste Marie. plane transfer. upon arrival you have to board on a small dug out to join your beach hotel. No vehicles on Ile aux Nattes. J6 / Ile aux Nattes. Relax, white sand and desert beaches.
L'île aux Nattes, South of Ste Marie J7 / Iles aux Nattes - Ste Marie. Transfer to hôtel La crique, one of the nicest beach around, very different from the previous. J8 / Ste Marie.
