- Tsiribihina, the easiest and most classic from Miandrivazo to Belo.
- Mangoky, the best of the best, most remote and most recommandable.
- Onilahy to end up in St Augustin bay and dream of pirates.

Betsiboka waterways, near Marovoay

East :

Calm rivers are somehow shorter but there are apart from Pangalanes channel running for close to 400 miles a few opportunities.

- Bemarivo around Sambava
- Lokoho around Andapa
- Fanambana, closer from Vohemar
- Mananjary from Kianjavato
- Maroantsetra area offers interesting inland waterways
